On the weekend, I finally finished the Sideboard that I bought from Ebay with ASCP. It was originally a yellowy pine colour, but after the makeover I would now call it a weathered vintage shabby french finish! I also put black chalkboards in the doors.
Below is the Hall Stand that I finished also in ASCP, with True White mixed with a little French Linen, just enough to take away the starkness of the white.
I love these Roses that I picked up from the flower shop the other day.
My father in law passed away in July and he left so many vintage treasures. He had lots of old cigarette tins in the garage that had tacks, screws and nails in them. Unfortunately, they have gone a bit rusty. So I tried to polish them up with some soft wax, at least they won’t rust any more.
He loved fishing and had a garage full of fishing gear. He never threw anything away, so it has been a bit of a chore cleaning everything out, but some things you just can’t throw away, like the old Alvey fishing tackle box, a wooden hand reel and his original brush that he used to use to clean out the bread delivery cart (yes, like a horse and cart).
Wishing you all a happy and safe week. My thoughts and prayers go out especially to the people effected by the bush fires in the Blue Mountains and other areas.
Lots of love,
